Apple Cinnamon Breakfast Quinoa

1 Cup BBF organic quinoa

1 apple, diced

2 Tbsp BBF organic virgin coconut oil

1 tsp cinnamon

1/2 tsp nutmeg

1 Tbsp BBF organic agave

1/4 Cup sliced almonds


1. Rinse quinoa. Place quinoa and 2 cups water in a medium pot. Cover and bring to a boil.

2. Once boiling, turn to low and simmer for 15-20 minutes, until quinoa is tender and liquid is absorbed.

3. Heat coconut oil in a medium sauté pan over medium heat. Add apple and cook until slightly tender. Add spices and agave and stir to coat.

4. Fold apples into cooked quinoa and top with almonds. Enjoy warm or cold.
