2 cups trimmed fresh strawberries

2. Stir in the chia seeds and lemon juice. Then taste, and add sweetener if desired. If your berries are sweet, you might not need to add any sweetener.
3. Remove the mixture from the heat and let the mixture cool and thicken for about 5 to 10 minutes. You can use it immediately or let it cool completely before transferring it to a sealed container and placing it in your refrigerator. The jam will last for up to 1 week.
