¾ cup rolled oats
4 Tbsp coconut oil
Zest of 1 orange
1 Tbsp Maca powder
1 tsp ground turmeric
1 tsp vanilla extract
3 Tbsp honey or agave syrup
Desiccated (unsweetened shredded dry) coconut for rolling
In a blender or spice grinder, blend the rolled oats into a flour
Combine all the ingredients, except the coconut for rolling, in a bowl. One tablespoon at a time, roll the mixture into balls between the palms of your hands, wetting your hands to stop the mixture from sticking if necessary.
Pour the desiccated coconut into a side plate and roll each ball in the coconut. Once all the balls are coated, put them in the refrigerator to set.
Store in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week or freeze for up to 1 month.
