Traditionally, whipped coffee is a fluffy latte drink that is made with milk. It is commonly known as dalgona coffee, which is popular in South Korea. The original recipe for dalgona coffee uses regular milk and sugar. However, if you are vegan, this is not ideal. Luckily, BetterBody Foods has your solution to achieving a fluffy and creamy whipped coffee, without the dairy; Oatsome Organic Oat Milk. Organic oat milk is the best choice for this coffee recipe because it is heavier on cream, adding a decadent creamy taste to your vegan oat milk whipped coffee. Its rich flavor, along with being organic and non-dairy, makes this the best oat milk available for coffee. No nuts. No artificial sweeteners.
Organic oat milk is an ideal milk substitute for users that choose a vegan lifestyle, or those who simply prefer healthier options. One of the many ways this oat milk can be used is to create healthy coffee recipes. It froths and steams like regular cow milk, is organic and non-GMO, and contains no stabilizers or thickeners. It is versatile to many recipes and applicable to all consumers; whether dairy-free, gluten-free, vegan, or vegetarian. Our Oatsome Organic Oat Milk is made up of organic, gluten-free oats, water, sea salt, riboflavin, calcium carbonate, vitamin B12, vitamin D, and organic sunflower oil, making it a wholesome (yet critical) ingredient in making delicious vegan coffee recipes. You can enjoy iced vegan oat milk whipped coffee with your friends and family on a hot afternoon, or for a casual brunch. The hot version is an ideal pick-me-up on cold evenings or as an early morning jump-start to your day.
In place of the instant coffee, you can use adaptogenic coffee which is great for stress relief and relaxation. Additional twists such as vanilla essence, cinnamon, pumpkin spice, or organic cacao powder can significantly add to the flavor. Also, the versatility of this recipe allows you to serve it hot or cold. Either way, it’s delicious. Try it in hot chocolate, filling smoothie bowls, baked goods, shakes, or yogurts.

¼ cup Instant Coffee
2 tbsp Vegan Granulated Sugar (Organic Coconut Sugar)
¼ cup Boiling water
3-4 Ice Cubes
1. Mix the instant coffee, sugar, and boiling water in a bowl. You can do this using a stand mixer, electric mixer, or by hand.
2. Continue mixing for three to five minutes until the mixture is thick and fluffy. If you are mixing by hand, whisk for 10 to 15 minutes.
3. Add the ice cubes to a glass and fill two-thirds of it with organic oat milk.
4. Scoop the whipped coffee and place it over the top of the glass.
5. Stir to combine the coffee and milk before sipping and enjoy.
Note: People will often substitute ingredients, but there are a few things you need to note about this recipe in particular. For example, regular ground coffee does not give you the same result. Unlike instant coffee, regular ground coffee does not whip up to a thick cream because it does not dissolve the same way. In addition, for those who prefer a less sweet coffee, you can reduce the amount of sugar to a tablespoon (but you cannot eliminate it from the recipe). Organic coconut sugar is also a great alternative to regular sugar. Lastly, if you do not have a handheld or electric mixer, you can use a regular whisk (however, be prepared for some intensive whisking). Patience will serve you well, ensuring you get that perfect frothy whip.
