Teriyaki Sauce (or Marinade)

Ingredients

1 Cup soy sauce

1/2 Cup water

2 Tbsp white rice vinegar

1/3 Cup BBF Organic Agave

3 tsp minced garlic

3 tsp minced ginger

2 Tbsp cornstarch (mix with 2 Tbsp water)

Directions

1. Combine all ingredients (except cornstarch) in a blender.

2. Pour blended ingredients in a pan and bring to a boil. Once the sauce begins to boil, immediately reduce to a simmer.

3. Mix cornstarch and water and add to sauce, stirring constantly until thickens (about one minute).

Tips and Notes:

This is the best tasting Teriyaki Sauce that you will ever make.

Makes Teriyaki Chicken, Beef, Pork, Tofu or use in a Teriyaki Bowl (page 96).

Serve over brown rice.

This sauce also makes a great marinade for grilled chicken, beef or pork – just mix the ingredients

(excluding the cornstarch), blend in a blender and pour over meat. Let marinate for 2 - 4 hours and you are ready to barbecue.
